Amazing how sometimes we see/hear something and it just stays in our minds forever, sometimes as inspiration or sometimes even as a form of guidance.
I was sitting at home last night when I decided to clear out my Hard drive off all the unnecessary data in order to make space for all the new movies and series that I needed to save.
I run through all my movie folders trying to see which ones to delete. So I arrive at this movie called 'Peaceful Warrior' and I go, "I guess I shall delete it. Haven't even seen it yet."
But then something made me play the movie just to see the contents. AND IT GOT ME HOOKED ON.
It is certainly one of my favourite movies ever. And it made even more sense in the end when I found out that it was based on a true story.
Let me quote a conversation from the movie..
Socrates: Where are you?
Dan Millman: Here.
Socrates: What time is it?
Dan Millman: Now.
Socrates: What are you?
Dan Millman: This moment.
Above was one of my dearest scenes from the movie when this guy named Socrates guides a young athlete (Dan) and teches him to live in the moment and follow something that truly makes him happy, no matter what the odds. He says it so beautifully, "It is the journey that brings joy. Once you're on top, you always start looking for a new journey to begin because you want to feel joy again."
The most important thing I heard though was not the conversation above, but the conversation below...
The moment we all realize this fact is the moment we will understand the truth of life. That truth will help us understand what is truly our purpose. What makes us happy. What matters and what doesn't. We will gain that control over our lives which will help us think so much more clearly about all our actions and reactions.
Nobody is perfect, but we all strive toward it. Seek yourself and identify what/who brings you joy. Then work toward it forever. Live in the journey. Not the destination.

The most important thing I heard though was not the conversation above, but the conversation below...
Life has just three rules.
And you already know them...
Paradox, humour, and change.
Paradox...
Life is a mystery. Don't waste time trying to figure it out.
Humour...
Keep a sense of humour, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure.
Change...
Know that nothing stays the same.
The moment we all realize this fact is the moment we will understand the truth of life. That truth will help us understand what is truly our purpose. What makes us happy. What matters and what doesn't. We will gain that control over our lives which will help us think so much more clearly about all our actions and reactions.
